Variares D:D (Hasbro: Variares 145WB) is a Attack-Type Beybladethat appears in the Anime and Manga series, Beyblade: Metal Fury.It can spin left and right, similar to Gravity Destroyer AD145WD. It comes with a multi-directional Light Launcher called Light Launcher LR (L3LR) in which the prongs can be removed and stored in a clip on its side. It was released on the July 16, 2011 in Japan but had an early release at the World Hobby Fair 2011. Hasbro released this Bey as Variares 145WB, removing D:D. It is owned by King.
Variares' main feature is its 4D Tip, D:D. It can be changed to 3 different tips, WB, F and S tip. Other features than D:D is it's Fusion Wheel 'Variares' that can change automatically from 'Attack Mode' to 'Defense Mode'. It also features a dual-spin gimmick.
The Face Bolt depicts "Ares". In Greek mythology, Ares was the Greek god of War. The warrior that held the sword of Ares. The design features a yellow helmet-like design with glowing green eyes on a red background whilst on a black Face Bolt. The helmet looks like it has swords on the sides and an eagle shield between the blades. The Face Bolt design is similar to the Destroyer/Perseus, Jupiter, and Darkhelm facebolts. It's facebolt
Variares is known to be the second Fusion Wheel that can spin left and right, after Gravity. Variares has a unique design featuring three wings with many spikes and protrusions sticking out. There is a gap between each wing which reveals the built-in PC Frame. The Wheel consists of the metal part, the yellow PC Frame with a shield-like design that retracts during battle, and a red plastic part at its bottom. The Frame can also change modes, similar to other 4D Beys. However, this occurs only during battle because of centrifugal force and is not manual. At first it starts out in "Attack Mode" in which the PC Frame is hidden and when rotation becomes lower, it reverts to "Defense Mode" where the PC Frame appears. However, unlike the other 4D Frames, all pieces of this Fusion Wheel are together.
The mechanism of Variares is simple. The PC frame's yellow spikes that stick out in Defense Mode are loose when pushed back in Attack Mode. When launched the speed and the force around the bey is so great that it pushed the spikes back, thus Attack Mode. When it loses stamina, it loses speed which allows the spikes to pop out to make it in Defense Mode. King prefers Variares in Attack Mode, but he sometimes uses Defense Mode more.
Because of Variares's unique and versatile design, it is unarguably the most aggressively designed Wheel ever released in Metal Fight Beyblade. Combined with its heavy weight and many spikes and protrusions, it is perfectly capable for Smash Attack and has become a top-tier attack wheel although it causes high recoil which slows it down so there's not much time you have in Attack Mode (with or without flat tip).
It does suffer from moderate recoil, however this can be overcome via Metal Face or Metal Face Heavy from the MF2 custom face set, of which the latter is generally preferred. With the Metal Face, the recoil becomes more controllable and is used to create powerful Smash Attacks, and with the ability to rotate left, it has become the most versatile and powerful attack wheel to date. Though it does require a powerful launch to make Variares perform optimally due to the weight of the wheel. Overall, Variares is an excellent Attack-Type Frame and can be very powerful in battle with the right parts. The reason the triangles are in when you launch, the science is simple. The centrugal force created by the spin power acts as a pushing field. The triangles are somewhat loose, so they can be in by the centrugal force. When the bey starts to loose centrugal force, the triangles pop out.
Delta Drive (D:D) is of a round shape with a translucent black color and with a height comparable to 145WD. It is an interchangeable 4D Bottom unique to Variares. It can change between three different Performance Tips, which will change how it will perform: "Flat" for Attack, "Wide Ball" for Defense, and "Sharp" for Stamina. Each Tip can simply be changed by pulling the Tip until it lightly clicks, then scrolling to your preferred Tip and pushing it back in place.
These Tips sometimes wobble during battle and thus, reduces Stamina. The S Tip has bad stability and balance due to D:D's height, which therefore does not have many uses, while F does not do better; its low grip, and small diameter makes it relatively useless. While Wide Ball of D:D looks like a completely different mold of WB, it performs relatively the same as its predecessor. Overall, D:D is a mediocre 4D Bottom due to its Tips; Sharp, Flat, and Wide Ball all being outclassed by Tips such as Bearing Drive, Right Rubber Flat, and Rubber Spike, respectively.
However, D:D's performance can be boosted when paired with Variares' Wheel. In WB mode, it can hold its ground against Attack-Types while knocking the opposing beys out of the stadium, while in F mode, it increases Variares' attack ability and supporting its powerful smash attack. In S mode, it is useful facing Stamina Beys such as Burn Fireblaze since Variares can touch it and and knock it out with its attack power. Sadly, Phantom Orion B:D is rarely defeated by the S mode due to the bey not slamming into him. The attack is the strongest feature in D:D.
The Face Bolt depicts "Pegasus", one of the 88 constellations in space. In Greek mythology, Pegasus, was a white, winged, divine horse that was turned into a constellation by the Greek god, Zeus. Unlike the two previous Pegasus Face Bolts, this features a more stylized design. The "hair" of Pegasus is now longer and resembles a lightning bolt. The "P" and "S" letters now do not resemble letters but instead, lightning-like designs are featured. Fire-like designs now appear above them and Pegasus' eyes are now red with a red hue, a blue outline, and a white color on a blue Face Bolt. The wings of Pegasus are seen above the Lightning like designs. It looks like that the wind has touched Pegasus's motif, changing it overall.
Pegasus III, just like the previous Pegasus Energy Rings, features two wings that are meant to resemble the wings of Pegasus. Unlike the original Pegasus Ring, the wings are much more detailed; albeit even more than Pegasus II, it's predecessor. But whats similar about all 3 versions of Pegasus is that each one always has 2 heads on its energy ring. Its two heads looks more like that of a dragon than that of Pegasus. Although it is not very light, it is still not as heavy as Bull, Aquario, or Kerbecs; despite the fact that it has iron fillings. Pegasus III still has uses in Defense due to it's weight and is a translucent dark blue in color. Prior to release, Pegasus III was described to be heavier due to the iron fillings added to 4D Energy Rings. However, Pegasus III only weighs 3.2 grams which is the exact same as Pegasus II.
Cosmic is the first 4D fusion wheel to be introduced in the Metal Saga. Cosmic is 50 mm wide, making it the widest fusion wheel upon its arrival. It was a much anticipated part of the newly-arrived 4D System, but performance-wise, Cosmic didn't feature great use in Attack. It is best used with tall Spin Tracks, which not only increases its attack power but it's defense as well. There have also been prominent signs of "Force Smash" from Cosmic, a form of attack in which a downward impact is exerted on an opposing bey.
So despite this, Cosmic may be flawed, but is a decent Attack-Type Wheel to say the least. Fusion Wheels like Blitz, Variares, and Beat are much better than Cosmic but in all in all, Cosmic is a decent 4D Fusion Wheel at best.
By rotating the PC Frame and the Core, Cosmic can change between a total of four different Modes, "Directional Attack Mode", "Attack Mode", "Multi-Attack Mode", and "Upper Attack Mode". Its Upper Attack Mode is useful for getting other beys into traps and stadium outs. Due to this, Gingka uses Upper Attack Mode more often rather than the other modes, along with Directional Attack Mode. Its Attack Mode is a superior to the three modes, due to its prominent Attack power. In Multi-Attack Mode however, it suffers from recoil, but still remain as a decent mode. Plastic Wheel
Weight: 2.50 grams
Cosmic features a PC Frame, with PC being an abbreviation of polycarbonate of which, it is constructed of. Big Bang's Plastic Wheel is a translucent red that bears a three-winged design similar to Storm. As always, these three wings are meant to represent Pegasus' wings and feature a slanted gap between each wing. Big Bang's Plastic Wheel also features two square-like holes on each wing in order to help change it's Mode with Cosmic's Attack Wheel. Attack Wheel
Weight: 25.48 grams
Cosmic features a Attack Wheel, in which, along with the Metal Wheel, make contact with the opposing Bey. Cosmic's Attack Wheel resembles Storm, just like it's Plastic Wheel. However, it is bulkier and the wings tend to curve upwards rather than Storm's more flatter wings. It also uses three small square-like protrusions sprouting out on each wing, in order for the Plastic Wheel to fit into place and to change Modes. Cosmic's Attack Wheel is coloured metallic silver. Metal Wheel
Weight: 13.81 grams
The last part of Cosmic is it's Metal Wheel. It is compromised of three, flat, and sharp wings going in a left-ward movement. This makes the overall contact of the Cosmic's Fusion Wheel along with the Attack Wheel. It also is designed to hold the Attack Wheel into place. It is coloured metallic silver.
Final Drive (F:D) is the first 4D Bottom released. It is one of the five 4D bottoms that features a mode-changing gimmick. Design-wise, F:D resembles a very bulky, and heavy version of RF but with a small blue SF Tip at its bottom.
When launched, centripetal (outward) force causes the two clipers to come out which push out the "Semi Flat (SF)" tip to eject, moving around slowly and conserving spin. As spin rotation starts to decrease, the SF tip is automatically inserted and what is left is the rubber area of F:D which makes up the "Rubber Flat (RF)" tip. After the switch, Pegasus moves wildly, most of the time circling around the other bey until its stamina is lost. F:D's Stamina is quite good since it has SF Performance Tip. It should be noted that when used with a Hasbro stadium, the Final Drive mode is not as aggressive as usual after the switch. The best BeyStadium for Final Drive is the BB-10 Attack Stadium.
As with the rest of Cosmic Pegasus, F:D was a highly anticipated part to the meta game. Testing has sadly shown that F:D did not feature much use in Attack. Although it's mode-changing mechanism was praised by the Beyblade community, F:D is only decent at best, with RF, R2F, LF, and LRF serving better. Contrary to this, F:D has found uses in Anti-Meta customisations to success. F:D is useful against beyblades that lose its balance easily such as L-Drago Destroy F:S, who, as seen in Akira's Daddy's video, falls before Pegasus does.
F:D was replaced by the W105R2F combo in the Hasbro release prior to its Hyperblades release.
The face on this Beyblade depicts a Goat, which is represented by the constellation Capricornus, one of the twelve zodiac signs and one of the 88 constellations in space. In the Hasbro version of this face bolt, the word "Capricorne" is ommited from the banner.
The Energy Ring is fluorescent red in colour. On the two sides of the wheel are heads of a goat. On some sides of the Energy Ring, there are jagged spikes. Those spikes are good for upper attacks
Fury is a fusion wheel with moderate recoil attack and excellent smash attack. Although the Cyber metal wheel is a better option, it is essential to own due to it having excellent smash in the combo MF-H Fury Bull 85R2F. It is also has a smooth surface on it to add some defense to it.
HF has a very similar movement speed to that of F, with the main difference being a slight Stamina improvement due to the hole in the middle of the tip. But, with this comes the detriment of even less grip to the stadium floor than F, and also increased fragility.

- Fury Capricorn 100HF was re-released in a Hasbro Face-Off Pack called Poison Fury Showdown, with a Poison Pegasus ED145JB.
- The Fury Fusion Wheel bears a huge resemblance to the Vulcan Fusion Wheel.
- The Fury wheel is extremely resistant to spin steal because of the smooth edges and it's powerful smash attack.
- It is the 3rd bey with the 100HF combo. The 1st being Lightning L-Drago 100HF, the 2nd being Cyber Pegasus 100HF.
- He is the legend version of Capricorn 100HF but Capricorn is blue and fury capricorn is red
- The Fury fusion wheel resemble Beat, however Beat is a better wheel.
The Face on this Beyblade depicts Pisces, a constellation of the Zodiac. Its name is the Latin plural for Fish. The face itself actually depicts a shark, though a Shark is technically a Fish. The face is manufactured with the Pre-HWS design printed on, and a new, more colorful version can be added with one of the 2 Pisces Face Stickers in the Hybrid Wheel Reshuffle Set: Defense & Stamina. The Takara-Tomy version has the word Pisces on it, while the Hasbro version has it blacked out.
Pisces is a navy blue Clear Wheel with decorations ressembling fish scales and shark fins. The upward protrusions are actually designed as shark teeth, thus making the Clear Wheel resemble an open shark's mouth. When in motion, it appears to have a "fence" surrounding the face, which is good for Defense but since it's on the inside, it really doesn't help with defense at all.
Thermal is based on it's predessor, Pisces. This Metal Wheel was first released with Thermal Pisces T125ES. It has 2 main sections, each resembling a fish/shark. Despite being lighter than Flame, it has less undisturbed spin time, despite being only for a second. This is actually a trade of sorts, for this Beyblade has superior Defense/Attack when compared to Flame while retaining great Stamina. It's Attack power is above average for a Stamina Typ
Originally released with the Booster Flame Libra T125ES , T125 is supposedly a Stamina type Track. However, there is still the standing issue of how it is almost identical to D125, a fairly useful part released with Wolf D125B, in performance and use. The "Tornado" part, however, is a bit akin to those on DF145, so there is a possibility that it has some relevant Stamina uses. Then again, whether or not the gimmick of DF145, pushing down air, is truly what makes the part remarkable for Stamina, or some other unknown element. It is also unknown if T125 has that element if it is not truly the pushing down the air. It is outclassed by UW145 and is a Light Green/ Yellow colour. This is a decent substitute for the better CH120.
With Flame Libra T125ES being the first to use the T125ES combo, The Eternal Sharp bottom is surprisingly heavy, clocking in a whole Gram, but still lacks use. Eternal Sharp features a free-spinning Tip attached to a metal shaft which is held by the Performance Tip. The part was one of the most heavily anticipated parts in the Metal Fusion lineup, when first announced, but ES is actually a hugely disappointing part in terms of performance. Firstly, ES lacks a metal bearing, which would significantly reduce the friction between the free-spinning Tip and the rest of the Bottom. All of the best free-spinning Tips, notably Bearing Core, had NSK Shield bearings which allowed unhindered spin. Secondly, the Tip shape of ES is not conducive to optimum Balance; the Sharp nature of the Bottom means it is easily destabilized.
As all Sharp Tips do (Excluding AS), Eternal Sharp also has trouble regaining Balance, hence making this a poor choice for Stamina. That said, ES still remains superior to BS/MS/S/DS/EDS/D/SD/HF\S/PD as Stamina Bottoms. This bottom allows the user to tilt at extremely low angles without floor scrapes, however, it cannot regain its balance in this state unless it hits its opponent and having the impact bounce itself back up. If it is hit from behind when tilting like this, it has a 95% chance of being outspun unless used with ED145. For unknown reason(s), some users experience lots of movements from this tip, giving the Bey both Attack and Stamina. By using that movement/speed, it can weaken the impact if its is attacked by an Attack type. Its Stamina levels reign superior even to SD . As a Stamina bottom, It is outclassed by B:D, EWD, and AS due to more Stamina (B:D can spin over 7 mins if undisturbed, EWD combines the amazing Defense of WD while retaining ES's superior Stamina, AS is regains balance quickly and has equal Defense to EWD but with more height but not as much as ES). However, these bottoms do not provide the speed/movement/height ES provides. The height of ES can turn a 125 height-user to a 155 height. It is the opposite of the AS bottom. This is a good Performance Tip/bottom for Starters who would like to focus on Stamina.

Phantom Orion B:D is a Stamina-Type Beyblade that appears in the anime and manga series, Beyblade: Metal Fury. It was released on September 17, 2011 in Japan and it is owned by Chris.
Phantom Orion is unique, as it features a ball bearing similarity to Wolborg MS from the Hard Metal System. These ball bearings give Phantom Orion increased stability and more Stamina, (similar to Evil Befall) enough for it to solo spin for at least around seven minutes and thirty two seconds. Hasbro has released it without any changes in the Hyperblades toyline.
The Face Bolt depicts "Orion", one of the 88 constellations. It is known as the winter constellation. In Greek mythology, Orion or "The Hunter" was a giant huntsman who died at the hands of the giant scorpion, Scorpio, and was placed as a constellation in space along with Scorpio by the God of Sky and Thunder, Zeus. The version on the face, however, depicts the phantom know as Orion.
Orion is burgundy in color, with designs of notches on its end. Orion has sharp spikes on its sides which are meant to repress the top half of Orion's face. Phantom Orion also comes with eye-like stickers for the Energy Ring, which when put together with the Phantom Fusion Wheel makes a grin or face.
Phantom's Metal Frame is a wide and circular Wheel with a large circular hole for the Core to fit into place. It is very thick and has a smooth rounded outer side with four blue spheres. These blue spheres represent the Orion constellation, and are put in a manner that resembles it. On the front, it showcases a devious grin with visible sharp teeth, and a nose that can be used with the Orion Energy Ring eye stickers, to create the grinning face. It can also be flipped over to switch from Stamina Mode to Attack Mode, but Stamina Mode is recommended. The beys metal frame also has potential in attack mode which ties up to Fang leones counter attack mode. So this bey is great for stamina and attack.
The Core is a translucent purple made of complete plastic, which makes this a PC Core of some sort. Due to this, it provides the least amount of weight from the center, allowing for maximum Stamina potential. Because the Metal Frame is a smooth metal outer side of the Wheel, it allows it to focus all of the weight on to the outer-side of the Wheel. This gives it the best Stamina it can achieve. In design, the Core resembles somewhat of a miniature version of Scythe and being round as a whole. Although initially, it was assumed that B:D was the cause of Phantom Orion's superb Stamina, after testing this was proven to be true but not completely. Phantom, along with B:D, was the cause of its amazing Stamina due to its Core, which focuses weight onto the outer-side of the Wheel. In addition, Phantom does carry resemblances to Burn.
In that, the Metal Frame mimics that of the two bumpy indents on Burn's sides and that the weight is focused to the outer-side of the Wheel. It is even heavier than Burn with the metal frame alone, but Phantom does a better job at its weight distribution on the outer-side, especially with the weight increase. In Stamina Mode, the blue spheres from the blue, plastic Core as well as the Orion "face" are visible. In Attack Mode, they are not and the Wheel is more detailed with a hexagonal-shape and a multitude of protrusions and small indents that stick out for Attack potential. Chris prefers Phantom in Stamina Mode.
Phantom is generally chosen for use in Stamina Mode, because in Attack Mode it suffers from recoil due to the jagged spikes and linear indents. However, despite the recoil from the jagged spikes and indents, Attack Mode still has use in Attack, Stamina and Balance Customizations. Phantom is quite a good Fusion Wheel, being able to defeat Wheels such as Hades and Twisted with ease and out spinning Scythe. Phantom is gaining great results and is best used in the combos MF-H Phantom Orion TH170D, MF-H Phantom Orion AD145WD, MF-H Phantom Aquario TH170D, MF-H Phantom Bull AD145WD, Phantom Aquario TH170D, and Phantom Bull AD145WD. Like stated above, the metal wheel should be in Stamina Mode. This is the reason why it has extraordinary stamina. If Blitz and Variares are the most versatile Attack-Type wheels, and Diablo and Basalt are the most versatile Defense wheels, then Phantom and Scythe are the most versatile Stamina-Type wheels.
Bearing Drive (B:D) can be considered as the 4D version of Wolborg's MS' Bearing Core (B:C) from HMS, except wider and a translucent yellow in color. This Tip features ball bearings inside which help stabilize the Beyblade, helping especially with Stamina-Types. It is about the same height as 230 without a performance tip. The ball bearings inside the center of this 4D Performance Tip, allows some weight to be focused lower for the gravity to keep the Beys stability, and this also helps with its spin time especially. When the Bey tilts onto its side, when it's low on spin, the base makes contact with the Stadium floor, and completely stops, then the ball bearings reduce the friction of the main shaft and the tip of the 4D Performance Tip; this allows it to carry on rotating while it has very low spin. The tip is also free-spinning, contributing to B:D's amazing Stamina and is known to have extremely good balance. All Stamina tips (even EWD and WD) move around the stadium when off balance, losing more and more Stamina. This does not apply to B:D because it doesn't even move when knocked off balance: it just continues to spin in a titled position in one place, waiting for the opponent to knock it back on balance, or regains balance over a short period of time. Overall, B:D has proven to be a very great Tip. It theoretically has more defense than WD due to the base being wider than WD. Although, some variants have been having trouble reaching the seven minute mark (usually four, five and even two minutes), this should not be taken as a worry as it can simply be fixed by being broken in. B:D has excellent use in Stamina-Type customizations and should be considered by all as the best Stamina Tip ever. However, you'll have to be careful with this tip because they break very easily. It has broken the Beyblade world spin record at 7:12 minutes, but however it broke its own record, and its new record is 7:35 minutes. This is the best Stamina Performance Tip since Phantom Orion can take a lot of critical hits without getting affected a lot. It has even better stamina when paired with the Phantom Wheel. It is similar to the AS performance tip from Sol Blaze
The Face Bolt depicts Draco, one of the 88 constellations in space. It features a further detailed version of the first L-Drago Face with the feirce dragon; the "L-Drago" text present on the prior L-Drago face has been removed, however, the "L" slightly resembles a hand.
The Energy Ring, like L-Drago, features three dragon heads. Unlike the Lightning L-Drago energy ring, Meteo L-Drago contains rubber, mostly covering the circumference of the Energy Ring and partially covering the top. Since it is an L-Drago beyblade, it is wider than all energy rings, and also since it is made out of heavy rubber, it is the heaviest energy ring. Also contrasting to the Lightning L-Drago, Meteo L-Drago has "tribal" patterns upon the dragon heads and between the gaps, in which the prongs for the launcher are placed. The rubber used on the Energy Ring is the key to Meteo L-Drago's power. The rubber deflects attacks from beys such as Storm Pegasus 105RF. The rubber highly increases Meteo L-Drago's Spin stealing ability. This makes Meteo almost victorious against any bey which does not use WD/EWD/EDS as these tips may win by one rotation. Although the use of rubber takes the ability of smash attacks, thanks to the movement of LF the bey has remarkable pushing abilities. One huge drawback of the rubber is that when battling a left spinning bey such as L-Drago Destroy F:S or Gravity Destroyer AD145WD, the rubber acts like "brakes" for Meteo L-Drago. Like other Beyblades such as Lightning L-Drago 100HF, Gravity Perseus AD145WD, and L-Drago Destroy F:S, Meteo and L-Drago II are only compatible with one another. L-Drago II akin to L-Drago, is exclusively left spin and also has the mode change function. These modes are Assault Mode in which the heads of L-Drago II cover the gold protrusions (claws) of Meteo, and Barrage Mode in which the heads of L-Drago II cover the silver protrusions (jaws) of Meteo. Barrage Mode has been proven to be superior to Assault Mode, as the revealed jagged claws give Meteo L-Drago more grip on the opposing bey, thus increasing its Spin-Stealing ability.
Meteo features six protrusions of an alternating pattern between silver jaws and gold claws. It is quite a small Metal Wheel, revealing more rubber on L-Drago II for Spin Steal. The silver jaw is smoother, as opposed to the rugged appearance of the gold claw. Right spin energy rings can be placed on Meteo, however this is an unintended use and is also illegal. In Assault Mode, Meteo L-Drago is better against Left-Spinning Beyblades, as it does not grip onto the Fusion Wheel, which slows it down. The Destroyer energy ring can actually fit onto it, but this is a illegal combo. Meteo should not be used with tracks like 90 and 85 because the points get down and it scrapes the floor.
LW105 has 3 small wings protruding from its circumference opposite to W105 which has 2 wings facing to the right. These are facing diagonally downwards in the left spin direction, in order to stabilize the Beyblade in which it is being used. However, this effect remains negligible, and LW105 has found no competitive usage, apart from being used as a regular 105 Track. It is the opposite of DF105/W105/T125/DF145.
LF looks excatly like LRF, however is made completely out of plastic. Due to the nature of rubber Bottoms, R2F is tall relative to plastic Bottoms, and consequently, so is LF. Its rubber counterpart is LRF. LF appears to be a flat bottom with 6 equal protrusions facing the counter-clockwise direction (when viewed on an upright Beyblade). LF is a tip for Left Spinning Beys due to its highly aggressive movement. When comes in contact with the ridge of the stadium its moves around very fast. LF also makes quite a lot noise due to its plastic protusions. Like all flat plastic Performance Tips, it fails to fully retain a flower-like pattern when used with the Sliding Shoot. As a result it has found recreational use for players who wish to have a more controllable Bottom than RF/R2F/LRF with increased stamina, but LF can still be used for Right Spin Beyblades. This tip is currently outclassed in the metagame.
